Ambient label and music blog Past Inside The Present unveil their first batch of
releases, and their fifth is something singular indeed. Hakobune is the project name
of Japanese composer Takahiro Yorifuji, a composer of note with over a decade of
self-released albums to his name. The Last Of Our Time Together, one of his first ever
label releases, sees him up the ante with two longform pieces far from the serenity
of his ambient work. ‘Slowing Expansion’ builds on a rhythmic pattern befitting any
deep house set, while the LP’s title track delves into an abstract narrative piece
Nurse With Wound would be proud of.
